How to Make Cream of Wheat
Equipment
- Saucepot with lid
- Wooden Spoon
Ingredients
- 4 cups Almond Milk
- Salt a pinch or two
- Cream of Wheat
- 4 tbsp. Sugar
- 2 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
- Cinnamon as desired and extra for serving
Instructions
- In a covered saucepot, bring (4) cups of almond milk to boil over medium heat.
- While almond milk boils, prepare and measure the remaining ingredients.
- Once the almond milk has started boiling, remove lid to add a pinch of salt, and slowly add (3/4) cup of Cream of Wheat. Carefully continue to stir.
- Return pot to boil.
- Reduce heat to low. Add (4) tablespoons of sugar, (2) tablespoons of vanilla extract, and a desired amount of cinnamon.
- Simmer uncovered for (2-3) minutes, continue to stir.
- Once Cream of Wheat has thickened, remove from heat. Give one last generous stir.
- Allow to cool slightly, before serving.
