Ingredients
2cans black beansdrained and rinsed
1onionsliced
1green bell peppersliced
3clovesgarlicminced
2tablespoonsolive oil

1tablespoonapple cider vinegar
1tablespoonsugar

Instructions
Sauté the Base
In a large skillet or pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, cooking until they’re soft and fragrant—about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until it’s golden.
Seasoning
Add assorted seasonings allowing the spices to bloom in the oil for about 1-2 minutes.
Add the Beans
Pour in the drained black beans and stir everything together.
Simmer
Let the beans simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
If the mixture becomes too thick or dry, add a splash of water or broth.
Just before serving, stir in the apple cider vinegar and sugar.
Taste and adjust seasoning.
Serve and Enjoy
Serve your Cuban Black Beans warm, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
