Ingredients
2cupswhole milk
1cupsweetened condensed milk
1cupevaporated milk
1teaspoonground cinnamon
1teaspoonvanilla extract
¼cupcornstarch
½cupsugar
a pinch of salt
Instructions
Mix the Milks:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and evaporated milk.
Stir until it’s warm but not boiling.
Prepare Cornstarch:
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a few tablespoons of the warm milk mixture until smooth.
Add back to the saucepan.
Add:
Stir in sugar, salt, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
Cook while stirring until thickened (about 5-7 minutes).
Remove:
Remove from heat.
Let cool completely.
Freeze:
Once cooled, pour the mixture into a container and cover it tightly.
Freeze for about 4-6 hours or until completely set.
Serve:
When ready to serve, let the Queso Helado sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
Serve in bowls or cones and enjoy!
