Ingredients

corn tortillas
for tostadas
1
can
black beans
or refried beans
1/2
cup
queso fresco
crumbled
fresh cilantro
chopped
lime wedges
to garnish
vegetable oil
to fry
Instructions
Fry the Tortillas:
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Fry each tortilla until golden brown and crispy, about 2 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels lined plate.
Prepare the Beans:
Drain and rinse the can of beans.
Heat black beans (or refried beans) in a pot until warmed through.
If using whole beans, mash them lightly with a fork.
Assemble:
Spread a generous layer of beans on each tostada.
Top with crumbled queso fresco.
Garnish:
Finish with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
