Haitian Douce Kokoye (Coconut Fudge)
Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded coconut unsweetened
- 1 cup coconut milk full-fat for creaminess
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup sugar adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Prepare the Mixture
- In a medium saucepan, combine the shredded coconut, coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
Cook the Mixture
- Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
